What You'll Be Doing:

The Manager, Channel Readiness is responsible for orchestrating successful launches of high-priority initiatives for the Value Brand team in the Verizon Value CRO organization. This position plays a critical role in delivering on Value business priorities by keeping our front line informed, prepared and delivering at the highest caliber.

This team is responsible for ensuring the successful planning and execution of product, system, and process launches, including coordination with strategy, operations, frontline, and other cross-functional teams. The role will have responsibility for allocating resources, guiding work & decisions throughout the project lifecycle to achieve business objectives and ensure the best possible experience for our customers & employees.

This is a role that requires strong prioritization, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills as you will simultaneously coordinate the management of dozens of complex launches - identifying obstacles, devising/implementing creative solutions, providing insightful/actionable updates & ultimately ensuring successful on-time delivery.

You possess a strong blend of analytical, tactical, strategic, people management skills, and the ability to operate on multiple levels and horizons. You possess a fierce commitment to quality and productivity, and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders to manage a high volume, high velocity, and high complexity environment. You can create an engaging presentation that tells a clear story highlighting plans and expected results. You have the ability to speak up and lean in hard, but with empathy and compassion.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and fostering the strategy for our Channel Readiness workstreams in alignment with the blueprint for growth VVO & VCG strategy

  • Build strong relationships to set our channel partners up for success in serving our customers across Value brands

  • Develop intake and prioritization platforms for Value initiatives such as launches, promotions, training, and communications.

  • Lead the strategic relationships with our EPO, PMO and GTM teams to build seamless ways of working in bringing initiatives to channel channel teams for execution

  • Drive coordination efforts across our Go-to-Channel teams' project / program leads, business stakeholders and the Value leadership team for comprehensive, consistent initiative updates

  • Identifying subject matter experts for elements and aligning yourself with these stakeholders to develop solutions for challenges

  • Establish a governance process to ensure stakeholder alignment from intake to execution

  • Create compelling and well-supported presentations to communicate readiness plans, and status updates

  • Act as a point of alignment and inspection of upstream decisions and activities before channel execution

  • Channel advocate in go/no-go discussions and decisions

  • Drive the creation of a formal post-mortem process to ensure key objectives are met for an iterative execution approach

What we're looking for:

You'll need to have:

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • An MBA, or an M.S. in a related field.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, VLSS certification in Green Belt or Black Belt.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.

  • Strong project management skills, multitasking is vital to success

  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of management.

  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level). The ability to influence without direct authority.

Where you'll be working

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $82,000.00 and $166,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
