Marketing Development and Outreach Specialist

for Sentara Healthc in Norfolk, VA

Job Summary:

The Market Development & Outreach Specialist is a community development and member outreach role, responsible for a geographic area generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. Creates marketplace opportunities to showcase Sentara Health Plan programs and services for Medicaid beneficiaries, advocates and community leaders. Initiates and develops community activities that drive membership growth or retention. Initiates grass-roots stakeholder development in support of SHP goals. Provides on-site management of events. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding, analyzing and articulating complex issues in the Medicaid program or in the community, including emerging health care issues.

Use of personal vehicle required when working in the field.

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in CRM Databases
  • Required: 3 years Customer Service
  • Required: 3 years Health Plan Product Support
  • Required: 3 years Outreach and Advocacy
  • Required: 3 years of Public Relations
  • Use of personal vehicle required.

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required) CRM Database, Customer Service, Health Plan Product Support, Outreach and Advocacy, Public Relations
