TITLE: Senior Learning & Development Business Partner

COMPANY: Herc Rentals Employee Services LLC

DUTIES:

Herc Rentals Employee Services LLC seeks a Senior Learning & Development Business Partner (Charlotte, NC) to develop and conduct both operational and business skills training to internal customers across the company in a dynamic and fast paced equipment rental business. Communicate with region management to assess training needs and deliver effective training. Create and update training objectives for existing and new courses. Assist in the design and development of training curriculums and programs. Develop training courses and programs including drafting of facilitator guides, participant guides, handouts, activities and assessments. Observe and evaluate entry and mid-level Learning & Development Business Partners during classroom and virtual instruction as well as document, discuss and provide feedback. Create program/course certification guides to track new facilitator qualifications for course instruction. Recommend process improvements for field operations. Facilitate Train the Trainer sessions to prepare new facilitators to administer and teach courses/collaborate with SME's on accuracy of training content. Assist District and Branch Managers with performance management including feedback and coaching for employees upon request. Assist in the development of career paths for field roles. Be a resource of operational knowledge including equipment for all staff. Assist field support center with processes, SOP's, field questions and help to resolve problems. Monitor, track and report employee consumption of learning content to L&D Management team. Schedule and conduct instructor led training to include both virtual and classroom for all courses taught as required. Perform program management to include content development and reporting of various metrics. Local telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. 10% domestic travel required for training plus an occasion team meeting, and 1% international business travel required to train new branch employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified applicants will have 3 years of experience with equipment rental operations. Must have experience with: Project management principles and application; Adult learning principles; Canadian and US equipment rental practices and applicable regulations; Developing and building talent of employees; Rental fleet knowledge, including application and operation of use of various types of equipment from excavators to small tools; Program Management skills; Sales experience in the Equipment Rental industry; US and Canadian RentalMan Point of Sales Systems including On the Go (OTG) Dispatch system; SalesForce CRM systems; QLIK Reporting Tools; Delivering presentations in virtual and in-person settings; and Coaching and providing feedback. 10% domestic travel required for training plus an occasion team meeting, and 1% international business travel required to train new branch employees.
