Job Overview: The Senior Sales Representative - MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations sector. This role involves identifying opportunities, developing long-term partnerships, and providing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of clients in industries such as manufacturing, utilities, and facilities management.

Job Details:

  • Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year + commission.
  • Work Location: must be in the state of California, preferably near San Diego, Long Beach, or the San Francisco Bay Area as this is where the majority of the responsibilities are located.
  • Travel Expectations: up to 75%.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Achieve sales goals and meet order intake and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the MRO sector, focusing on expanding market presence.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline by prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
  • Promote a wide range of MRO products, services, and solutions to meet client requirements.
  • In addition to MRO the possibility exists for new engine sales when identified.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate MRO products and services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Directly responsible for assigned Key Accounts.

Industry Expertise and Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of MRO products, market trends, and customer applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and customized solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training for customers as needed.

Operational Excellence:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and activity logs.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market conditions, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure pricing and proposals align with company guidelines and profitability goals.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with supply chain, operations, and technical teams to meet customer demands.
  • Mentor junior sales representatives, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in MRO or related industries (e.g., marine and industrial supplies).
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to learn and utilize both manufacturing partner and internal ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with MRO product lines (e.g., OEM partners and agnostic product lines, parts services, and controls).
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to create tailored client solutions.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel (up to 75%) to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
