Overview

Our Business Application Support Unit Supervisor will supervise 7-8 staff who support ESD and DVHA Eligibilty staff utilizing multiple case management systems. Familiarity with ACCESS, VHC, OnBase, Okta/Uploader systems and the programs we support is ideal. The Supervisor will need to provide annual staff performance appraisals, including goals and succession planning. They will need to develop staff through effective coaching and performance management. The Supervisor will need to perform related duties as required for the Application Document Processing Center (ADPC), ESD and DVHA. Staff responsibilities are to provide critical and timely system support, project support as business analysts, test plan developers, testing coordinators and testing; training documentation development and delivery, and UVT testing with defect reporting, definition and follow up. Supervisor will ensure coordination and prioritization of work with business and program needs for ESD and DVHA. The Supervisor will participate and/or facilitate meetings. They will collaborate with programs and other support unit teams, ADS- IT and Vendors, to analyze system modification requests based on new rules, programs, or process improvements. They are a key participant with major system enhancement projects to ensure appropriate application change analysis is done and communicated to affected teams. This position requires strong communication skills - especially listening. This position requires logical thinking, excellent information gathering and synthesizing, and vision of downstream consequences of system and process changes. This position requires understanding and supporting all phases of project management. We work with ESD, DVHA, ADS IT and external Vendors secured to develop systems and/or system enhancements.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting with a possibility of some opportunity for teleworking. Private means of transportation should be available for required travel. Must be able to communicate and interact directly with management and employees at varying degrees of system skill sets as well as varying levels of authority. Conflicting priorities and operational problems may be anticipated; competing priorities and tight deadlines are a frequent occurrence.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business or public administration, information science, or related fields and two (2) years of experience providing technical and administrative level support in a business environment INCLUDING one (1) year or more of leading a team or project.

OR

Associate degree in business or public administration, information science, or related fields and four (4) years' experience providing technical and administrative level support in a business environment INCLUDING one (1) year or more of leading a team or project.

OR

Five (5) years' experience providing technical and administrative level support in a business environment INCLUDING one (1) year or more of leading a team or project.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting business applications, project management, and process improvement.
