Job Duties (From Approved PERM Job Offer Worksheet):

Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Software Developer (Senior VMware Engineer), responsible for administering and deploying VMware NSX-T environment. Administer, deploy, and maintain security roles and policies using NSX-T on both VMWare and bare metal systems. Work closely with the Systems, VDI, Broadcast and Cyber Security Teams to create the proper security policies and deploy them. Maintain processes, procedures, documentation and associated training plans for systems administration and operations teams. Analyze and isolate problems and issues and work with other Fox team members as well as vendors on coming up with a timely solution. Enhance and improve existing infrastructure through automation and reporting. Collaborate effectively with a team, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills. Successfully deliver projects, meet project milestones, and communicate issues/risks appropriately. Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management. Create and maintain system documentation for VMWare and NSX-T including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps. Telecommuting is permitted up to 50%/week within normal commuting distance of Fox office in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate software engineering or related systems engineering experience, including experience in deploying and managing IT infrastructure; deploying and maintaining Windows 10 desktop platforms and Windows Servers technologies; deploying applications via Remote Desktop Session Host; Windows Active Directory, Groups and Policies; and using Installation and Configuration Management best practices.

Experience must include three (3) years of experience with VMware vRealize Operations; SCCM; NSX-T SME; Horizon View SME; and working in a large VMWare environment.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Automation technologies such as vRealize Automation, Ansible, Terraform and Jenkins; 2) Systems such as Github and vRealize Code Stream; 3) Programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerCLI and Powershell; and 4) Docker and Kubernetes

*Any level of experience or knowledge in the specific skills is acceptable.

Must also have at least one certification(s) in: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization, VMware Certified Professional - Cloud Management and Automation, VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization or Professional VMware NSX-T Data Center

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $176,134.00-193,747.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
