This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! Clifford Academy, a school within the Home for Little Wanderers, is seeking an on-site SPED certified teacher with a background in ELA. Certified reading specialists are also encouraged to apply for this position. While full time applicants are preferred, Clifford will consider applicants with modified and/or part-time requirements. The role requires collaboration with the current ELA educator to support literacy improvement in the Clifford student population. Ideal applicants are flexible co-teaching as well as working individually with students. Under the direction of the Principal, participate in the implementation of individualized educational programs for special needs children at varying academic levels; behavioral management and related crisis intervention activities in the classroom; multi-disciplinary treatment team activities; and preparation of related reports and documentation, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
