Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

Department: Warehousing

FLSA: Exempt Non-Exempt

Job Type: Direct Indirect

Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator supports the production of parts by replenishing departments plant wide and ensuring production workers have needed materials to maintain the flow of work without interruptions.

Levels

Inventory Control Coordinator I

Monitors and maintains inventory levels. Process and tracks purchase orders and changes. Performs cycle counts and records results. Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Inputs data and generates audit reports.

Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Inventory Control Coordinator II

Monitors and maintains inventory levels. Process and tracks purchase orders and changes. Performs cycle counts and records results. Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Inputs data and generates audit reports.

Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.

Inventory Control Coordinator III

Monitors and maintains inventory levels. Process and tracks purchase orders and changes. Performs cycle counts and records results. Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Inputs data and generates audit reports. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

Tasks

Utilizing 5S principles, assist in maintaining departmental flow and cleanliness. Ensure the right parts are being received, shipped, and produced based on the production schedule.

Using mobile carts, retrieve components and materials, kit those based on work instructions, and match the job number to kits; put required kits and material on to carts and move to the appropriate areas.

Update part completion in the computer. May package parts and may place parts in an oven area or warm room.

Keep the production operators at their workstations by maintaining general supplies on carts.

Communicate with operators in other departments to obtain and deliver supplies and materials.

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

Provide direction to other individuals.

Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction and problem-solving assistance.

Oversees the daily operations of other staff, including scheduling and assigning work.

Manage performance, salary, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.

Required Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written.

Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community.

Ability to comprehend written instructions and follow demonstrated steps.

Basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Experience

One year of directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in warehousing a plus.

Computer Skills

Ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently.

Working Conditions

While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled.

Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.

Exposure to hazardous equipment.

Exposure to contaminants.

Shared workspaces with other employees.

Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.

Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending.

Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
