Stellar is seeking a Power System Architect to join a team working on a cutting edge commercial progam for configurable space systems.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

As a Power System Architect you will join the team working on a cutting edge configurable space system. The program team you will be joining is solutioning for is a fully distributed and unique hybrid multi-processor space system on a multi-port bus. The program's unique design enables the recognition of "connection" of new hardware, and a raw database structure shared amongst multiple distributed processors. Discovering and solving engineering challenges in your skillset will help the team maintain a digital twin and run a full scale bench level prototype. With your expertise you will also help the team review the existing architecture and think through potentially missed challenges. The successful applicant will have a problem solving mentality, excellent experience in the space field for this discipline, and desire to be on the cutting edge of space technology.

Required Skills

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 5 or more years of technical experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced,multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment balancing often widely different project tasks and types
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Space system research and development experience

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's in aerospace or related discipline

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
  • Travel <10%
  • Role is 100% onsite at customer location in Los Alamitos, CA

The typical pay range for this position is USD $125,000 - $165,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.
