Job Description

This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.

Ameritas is a full-service recordkeeper and third-party administration specializing in open architecture retirement plans built on a proprietary high-tech and high-service delivery model. We serve over 90,000 participants and administer over $5 billion in plan assets.

The Supervisor, Payroll is responsible for overseeing the payroll team resources and essential function(s) of processing/reconciling payroll files and associated deposits on all plans.

What you do:



  • Leads a high performing team through recruitment, development, and performance management
  • Provides guidance to resolve escalated issues or concerns
  • Ensures adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Recommends innovative programs or processes to achieve results
  • Coaches and develops associates to foster a culture that ensures a cohesive team environment that will build long term loyalty between Ameritas/Partners and our customers by achieving and/or exceeding department standards and persistent goals
  • Collaboration with internal resources on issues, system changes, or other topics that impact customers or stakeholders
  • Oversight of key processes including, but not limited to the following:


    • Payroll process for plans through Relius recordkeeping system
    • Trade execution including reconciliation, Forfeiture processing, and year-end processing
    • Transaction verification reporting
    • Census updates



What you bring:



  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years Retirement Plans Payroll experience required
  • Less than 2 years Supervisory experience required
  • Relius proficiency strongly preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of STATA preferred
  • Strong Excel skills preferred

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
