We are currently seeking a Technology Writer to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).

The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing, planning, writing, and editing internal and external documentation and deliverables for Medicaid System replacement system projects.

As part of the Project Management Office, create and maintain project management documents and deliverables, as well as manuals, guides, and desk aides that provide users and client staff with the information necessary to properly document, update, and maintain technical functional and non-functional requirements and artifacts according to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities include:
* Working with project and product managers, business and technical analysts and other stakeholders to prepare, review, revise, and maintain the requirements management plan, procedures, and processes
* Gathering and analyzing information from various sources to document new and changing requirements and to document processes and procedures
* Independently gathering information from technical and nontechnical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, organize and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documents
* Developing and maintaining templates for written documentation ensuring a consistent "look and feel" that meet and exceed company and industry standards and client expectations
* Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, considering the target audience for various types of documentation
* Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions
* Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process

Basic Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree or 4 years additional relevant experience
* Minimum 5Years of experience as Technical Writer or similar role using Microsoft Office.
* Minimum 1 year of experience creating"how to" guides, preferably a software product or configuration documentation
* Minimum 1 year of experienceusing content creating tools (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Content Management System), including screenshots, video, and screen capture/recording

Preferred Skills
* Background and experience with Medicaid programs or similar public programs and systems
* Demonstrates advanced technical writing and/or editing skills and subject matter expertise
* Advanced understanding of processes, format, style and tools.
* Advanced knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
* Advanced knowledge and understanding of computer technology.
* Ability to execute frameworks and templates for content management systems
* Experience with State government procurement processes and documents
* Ability to work towards aggressive deadlines, in team and individual setting, in a timely manner
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable through written content
