Overview

Great opportunity to join an industry-leading organization that is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to build critical infrastructure projects. Ideally coming from a background in the heavy civil infastructure industry, this person will manage the billing process, including overseeing the accuracy and timely execution of invoices, and resolving disputes or questions with the client.



What you will be doing

    Supervises biling staff, provides guidance and training.
  • Ensures all invoices follow the contract and any federal or state requirements
  • Submits invoices in a timely manner and follows up with client on collections.
  • Compiles and analyzes project pay forms to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
  • Works with project staff to accurately collect data.
  • Reports progress to management.
  • Supports accounts payable and onsite invoice entry to track project expenses and payments. Works with project personnel to expedite payment and resolves issues.
  • Acts as liaison between project team and vendors or subcontractor accounting teams.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
  • Supports published corporate policies.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.


What we are looking for

  • 5+ years construction field accounting experience or training preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a billing manager or similar role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of billing procedures and regulations in the state of Alabama preferred
  • Knowledge of FAR's for construction contracts is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Strong organization and attention to detail required.
  • Strong time management and self-prioritization skills required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing analytical skills.
  • Takes personal ownership over tasks and asks for help, when needed.
