Job Description General/Position Summary Vertex is seeking an experienced senior accounting professional to join our Controllership organization as a leader on the global revenue accounting team. Vertex is commercializing our first cell & gene therapy drug and preparing for potential near-term launch in our third disease area. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Revenue Accounting, the Director will have responsibility for managing the global technical revenue accounting policies and related financial statement disclosures; liaising with regional accounting and finance teams to ensure consistent application of US GAAP guidance as well as operational consistency. The Director will work closely with commercial business partners to review contract terms and review complex transactions/judgments with external auditors. In addition, this role will manage the Global consolidation reporting process and presenting revenue results to Accounting Senior Management. Key Duties & Responsibilities
