Job Summary

Responsible for administrative oversight and management of designated area, including oversight of grant-funded programs (if applicable), supervision of administrative staff, monitoring clinic flow and productivity, participating in strategic planning, managing budgets, developing performance standards, and working with community partners on related programs and planning.

The Ambulatory Clinic Manager will be part of the Denver Sexual Health Clinic which is one of four clinics within the Public Health Institute at Denver Health. Our Denver Sexual Health Clinic team is strongly committed and passionate about providing sexual health and family planning services to an underserved community including LGBTQIA+ persons.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and coordinates operations of designated area. (10%)
  • Participates in strategic planning and actively participates in improvement projects and new initiatives. (10%)
  • Supervises administrative staff and determines work procedures, assigns duties, and reviews work. (10%)
  • Oversees outreach efforts with various community partners. (10%)
  • Develops performance standards. (10%)
  • Prepares necessary reports including reports required by funders. (10%)
  • Works closely with clinic leadership and staff to address problems and find opportunities for improvement. (10%)
  • Represents the Clinic at a variety of meetings and community settings. (10%)
  • Works collaboratively with a variety of partners. (10%)
  • Assists with budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures from multiple funding sources. (10%)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or
  • 4 years of experience in lieu of degree. Required

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years administrative or professional management experience related to planning and development, operational objectives, and policies in a supervisory capacity. Required

Licenses:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Personnel management.
    • Management of budgets including funding from multiple sources.
    • Strategic planning involving collaboration with outside agencies and community organizations.
    • Ability to manage data documentation and tracking.
    • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Computer skills preferred.
