Overview: We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer who will play a crucial role in managing and supporting Linux server and large storage systems! Areas of focus include maintaining system health, analyzing system performance, and ensuring all activities are documented in accordance with customer requirements. This position resides in the Research IT Infrastructure group in the Research Computing division of the Information Technology Services Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). This team supports ORNL's goals through robust systems engineering, integration, and support tailored specifically for our research community. We manage a variety of critical infrastructures including mid-range clusters, servers, workstations, and other pivotal services. Major Duties/Responsibilities: Systems Administration:
