Description

* Perform all work related to the Periodic Program inspections, cleaning and preventive activities, including, but it is not limited to disassembling valves and pumps to replace gaskets, o-rings, seal kits, disassembling and assembling HTST plates set, etc.

* Record, monitor and track results of activities, spare parts usage, cost, status of replaced parts to assess and make recommendations of changes in the program- frequency, material of parts, etc.

* Tracks KPI's defined for the activities such as times of completion, downtime, delays and participates in the solutions for achieving goals

* Lead resource supporting and coordinating activities by working together with stakeholders - production maintenance and sanitation

* Participates actively in the investigations and follows up on actions and investigations related to foreign material contamination when related the periodic inspections.

* Reports to the Sanitation Manager deviations in the process and equipment that impact the implementation of the activities

* Support the sanitation manager with the needed information to define projects for the Capital Investment Plan and the budget.

* Spearhead continuous improvement projects in this area (pumps and valves). Conduct cross departmental auditing and training.

* Support the sanitation team (and other areas as needed) with training and coaching in valves, pumps, etc

* Support the sanitation training plan and JSM development activities related to his function

* Support the sanitation manager with charts and sanitation paperwork review.

* Support the area by providing input for internal and external audits and follow up to closure of deviations applicable to the activities of the role

* Produce a safe quality product and maintain a clean work environment by complying with all State, Federal and Lactalis GMP policies and regulations.

* Champion safety and reinforce the safety of other employees including by identifying issues and problems, taking corrective action and monitoring the corrective action.

* Work effectively and cooperatively with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g. peers, managers) to accomplish organizational goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus.

* Perform assignments in a safe and environmentally responsible manner (i.e. Minimize impact on the environment). Support and participate in plant safety and environmental initiatives to reduce loss and promote sustainability.

* Other duties as assigned by maintenance manager.

Requirements

* Education-

o Associate's degree or higher Preferred

o Highschool diploma can be considered based on experience

* Experience -

o 3 years minimum experience in manufacturing facilities

o 1 year experience in dairy production, food or similar industries (e.g. pharmaceuticals)

* Specialized knowledge -

o Valves and pumps knowledge required

o General knowledge of dairy equipment preferred - HTST, packaging machines

* Skills/Abilities -

o Effective and proficient communicator, both written and verbal

o Able to manage time through efficient planning and organizing of daily work.

o Proactive, flexible, analytical, and attentive to detail
