Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety but may not specifically require a valid CDL We Also Value Two or more years of transportation construction or roadway maintenance experience Job Contributions Operate a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures Haul materials and transport vehicles and equipment to job sites using various trucks Perform manual labor assignments as needed Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identify and report mechanical problems requiring additional repair Complete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetings Perform traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards and traffic problems Complete daily written reports and enter information into the Cartegraph asset management system Working Conditions Exerting over 100 pounds occasionally, 50 - 100 pounds frequently, or up to 20 - 50 pounds constantly Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel CDL Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will be extended exclusively to candidates who submit their applications through our online platform Candidates will primarily be contacted via email and their Workday online application profile Successful candidates must undergo a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation, as required by statute or policy.
