The anticipated salary range for this role is between $97,000.00and $156,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

A Network Engineering position providing support to SMBC Americas Division with a focus on Capital Markets and Nikko. Responsibilities include network infrastructure and telecom, delivering uninterrupted business operation, performing scheduled maintenance, and ownership of projects and implementations. Main areas of expertise include: voice, video, automation , API call scripting, collaboration tools, network infrastructure and logistics.

Role Objectives
  • Provide 2nd level support on daily voice, video, collaboration tools and network infrastructure tasks and issues reported by user support desk
  • Work on assigned voice/video and network infrastructure projects
  • Develop automation scripts within Unified Communication system.
  • Work on assigned voice/video and network infrastructure projects
  • Provide support during system installations across all sites
  • Provide support to other Systems Infrastructure teams during project implementation
  • Maintain inventory of network and telecom devices and services
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3+ yearsof professionalexperience
  • Intermediate technical and hands-on knowledge on Cisco Unified voice communication infrastructure and skills to support, troubleshoot, configure, and install voice, video endpoints and collaboration tools
  • Technical scripting skills to write automation against Cisco Unified communication components
  • Previous experience working in network infrastructure areas preferably in a financial institution
  • Experience withtrading floor voice and recording systems
  • Knowledge ofconfiguration and troubleshooting of Cisco Call manager voice and video endpoints, voice gateway routers, PSTN access
  • Prior experience with configuration of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
  • Knowledge of routing protocols EIGRP, BGP, NAT, LACP, CDP, UDLD, VPC, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge on troubleshooting networking issues OSI layers 1-7 across voice, video networks
