Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), Analyst to support our DMV Business Units. The HRBP role is a hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to the assigned Business Units. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the HR Senior Manager and will be a primary customer-facing partner between HR and Business Unit Leadership and staff. The HRPB collaborates with various team members and resources throughout the company. They will provide sound guidance regarding HR policy and process as well as employee management, engagement, retention and development.

This position will be hybrid, requiring at least two days a week in our Tysons Corner office along with occasional on-site attendance for events and meetings throughout the DC-metro area.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with department management to align human resources strategy with department objectives specifically focused on engagement and retention
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and build valued relationships with teams from employees to leadership.
  • Support all HR business processes and initiatives.
  • Promote and model an inclusive culture and respectful work environment.
  • Provide respectful, timely, and knowledgeable support to all team members all the time.
  • Provide excellent new hire onboarding experience through partnership with recruiting and hiring managers.

    • This includes but not limited to: representing MIL to all new hires once an offer has been accepted, logistics, paperwork, new hire touch points, and quarterly events.




  • Facilitate New Hire Orientations for all incoming employees for the DMV area.
  • Manage exit and transfer processing for terminating employees through exit interviews, coordination of paperwork, tracking of exit feedback, and providing trend analysis
  • Provide employee guidance and monitor FMLA/ADA/STD leaves
  • Advise management in employee relation issues, performance management/improvement and corrective action
  • Manage offer letter exception tracking and contingencies
  • Complete unemployment paperwork for various states
  • Act as backup to other team members as needed
  • Assist with the administration of HR programs and initiatives as requested
  • Manage monthly retention metrics
  • Monitor the HR email box and coordinate with HR team for action items
  • Assist HR management and Sector VPs with special projects as needed
  • Ensure business practices are in accordance with human resource policies and employment laws


Travel

Local travel may be required

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Federal Government contracting
  • Knowledge of DCAA requirements, SCA, FLSA, DOL and other federal/state employment laws
  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance conflicting demands
  • Work successfully in a collaborative team environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Hybrid position - minimum of two days in Tysons office
  • Ability to travel within the DMV area


Education

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $54,620 - $75,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
