POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD

LOCATION: Employee must work onsite at one of the following two approved DOJ work locations - Washington, DC OR Bluemont, VA (Mount Weather)

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.

OVERVIEW:

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.

Responsible for system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities for all storage systems.
• Responsible for configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, all versions and sub-version upgrades, and all aspects of the availability of the storage systems.
• Responsible for working with vendors as necessary to ensure proper functionality.
• Act as Tier 2 response in operations environment where resolution cannot be handled by on-site Tier 1 staff and where storage presentation or recovery is warranted.
• Provisions, Administers, Monitors, and Maintains current NetApp storage technologies.
• Provides professional service level and subject matter expert level design and testing of a new Lab/Development infrastructure and a new virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Assist with system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities on all Cisco UCS devices, to include Tier 2 support.
• Assists with provisioning, administering, monitoring and maintaining current Cisco UCS/VMWare networking technologies.

• 7+ years of advanced IT experience with 4+ years advanced NetApp Administration experience
• Has expertise in multiple versions of the vendor's operating systems and storage sciences.
• Will possess expert level knowledge of integration and deployment best practices for NetApp technologies running Data On-Tap cluster mode operating system in FlexPod environments.
• 5+ years of extensive VMWare and UCS administration experience.
• Possess expertise in multiple system configurations and is responsible for configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, all versions and sub-version upgrades, and all aspects of the availability these systems.

POSITION EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred
• NetApp Certifications preferred
• VMWare or Cisco or CCIE certifications preferred

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DOJ SCI
