Job Description The Vertex Fellowship is a unique, one-year training program that provides formal training and experiential learning about the science and business of drug discovery. The fellowship intends to attract outstanding scientists and physicians who have completed their PhD and/or MD degree within the previous 5 years. Fellows join Vertex for a customized yearlong experience in which they are embedded within project teams and gain hands-on experience with real-world R&D challenges. Fellows contribute to our culture of innovation by bringing their ideas to challenge our thinking. The program is directed by our Chief Scientific Officer, David Altshuler M.D., Ph.D., with the involvement of many other Vertex senior leaders. Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
