Inside the Role

This position will be responsible for CMM Programming, training in GD&T, gage usage and other quality tools. Designing of fixtures and gages, improving and control production processes through problem solving, lean manufacturing tools, statistical process control and error proofing in order to have robust production processes, achieving Quality in the station with an always customer focus.

Position offers a starting salary range of$74,500 - $95,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA:

  • Utilize problem solving tools on systemic issues and be able to determine corrective actions and countermeasures

  • Responsible to reduce the Quality KPI's such as warranty claims, PPM's

  • Provide support to all departments with the implementation of lean manufacturing Quality tools

  • Assist technically in production areas in regard to interpretation of documentation, diagrams and specification

  • Provide support to all departments to maintain and update the ISO documentation

  • Develop new work instructions for existing and new gages

  • Lead cross functional meetings to find root cause and drive resolution to customer problem

  • Effectively train others as needed in GD&T, gage usage and other quality tools

  • Ability to make decisions based off of data analysis and knowledge of engineering principles

  • Review drawings and inspection reports for discrepancies and develop corrective actions

  • Prepares and conducts monthly management updates for Quality KPI's results and corrective action

  • Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality and Improve product quality by making recommendations for change

  • Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring

  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards & Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process

  • In-depth knowledge of CMMs and PC-DMIS programming

  • Experience with FARO-systems and other complex measurement systems

  • Experience in Metrology and measurement systems, including gage calibration and tracking and design

  • Experience in QA lab

Knowledge You Should Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college required OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required
  • Understanding basic mechanical processes and trouble-shooting as it relates to metal forming
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills required
  • Ability to deal with conflict
  • Exceptional personal and relationship building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Programming CMM's in PC-DIMS
  • ISO 9001 knowledge
  • Data Analysis skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience with manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Previous demonstrated experience in practical problem solving

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:

  • 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • ISO 9001 internal auditor certification
  • Knowledge of calibration process
  • Knowledge of NX and EC Preferred
  • Knowledge of Data Page Preferred
  • Knowledge of gage development
  • Knowledge of Engage
