Job Description

Description:

This position will actively support the testing of healthcare products crucial to patient's safety efforts within the healthcare industry. This role includes performing lab-scale polymerization reactions, coating adhesive solutions into films, and physical properties testing. Work is performed as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Benchtop testing that includes physical, chemical and optical analyses
  • Perform lab scale polymerization reactions and maintain equipment
  • Design and execute experiments
  • Troubleshoot issues with instruments, experiments and process updates
  • Provide critical guidance into finished manufacturing process design
  • Create written laboratory reports to accurately record and analyze testing results
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams


Requirements:



  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related science
  • 3+ Years laboratory experience with at least 1 year of pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Good deductive reasoning and initiative to solve problems
  • Able to handle multiple assignments concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven



This position will be cross functional and will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase. Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success. The candidate will need to communicate effectively verbally and by e-mail. The candidate would be expected to be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
