The Lead Radiologic Technologist is responsible for ensuring daily department operations run smoothly and effectively while also performing the responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist. This is a full-time position working daytime hours M-F out of our Waconia and Chaska locations. A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus. Essential Functions:
- Perform and develop quality x-rays on designated portions of the body for physician's use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
- Inform and prepare patients for procedure
- Maintain Radiology files, including internal and external films
- Prepare, cleans and stocks work area with supplies
- Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
- Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive exposure to radiation
- Supply patients with requested x-rays
- Assist provider teams in obtaining imaging from other medical facilities for clinics and surgeries as needed
- Oversee department daily operations, ensuring excellent patient service and delivery of care
- Coordinate department work schedules (e.g., ensure proper staffing levels, coverage for lunch, oversee breaks, timekeeping management)
- Keep department staff informed by sharing appropriate information in a timely manner
- Facilitate, coordinate and execute the training of new employees
- Partner with supervisor to ensure staff members receive recognition, development, coaching, and when appropriate, counseling
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program
- ARRT Certification in radiology required within 60 days of employment
- 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Essential Requirements: Ability to:

- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
- Frequent lift up to 35 lbs., occasional lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. or persons in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 lbs.
- Frequent patient positioning including bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, & reaching.
