Job Description

Job Summary:

Be part of a high energy and collaborative leadership team focused on making leading edge microelectronics profoundly more accessible to the aerospace, defense, and space markets. You will plan and manage the design, development and implementation of programs across the Microelectronics business to provide defense, aerospace, and commercial customers with best-in-industry innovation and technology combined with a single point of contact for their programs, resulting in unparalleled customer service.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Own the execution of assigned development programs to include cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Be the primary customer interface and manage customer satisfaction.
  • Manage contract scope, on time delivery (OTD) of deliverables and commitments, and overall quality.
  • Work closely with the program Chief Engineer and Technical Project Manager in an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Responsible for the Estimate at Completion (EAC) for the assigned program(s) and work closely with finance on accuracy of the EAC.
  • Report status at monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Support Line of Business (LOB) Director in accurate forecasting of quarterly revenue and cash.
  • Support proposals for capturing new programs and contract change proposals.
  • Define technical scope, capability and details of program requirements, customer needs and organizations deliverables.
  • Obtain and manage the necessary cross-functional resources across the account portfolio of programs. Drive to maximize corporate resource utilization.
  • Identify and resolve critical issues, such as product delivery delays, and changes to customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years direct program management experience within the aerospace/defense industry.
  • 8+ years of program management experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in programs developing new products.
  • Experience in managing $10M + projects/programs.
  • Experience with program management techniques and contract accounting.
  • Experience with team leadership skills in matrix management environment.
  • Experience Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Project or other project scheduling tools.
  • Experience Intermediate level of experience with MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the use and reporting of both regular accounting and Percentage of Completion Accounting.
  • Experience in the use/application of Earned Value Management principles.
  • Experience of program financials (cost, revenue, margin) and impact to BU P/L goals.
  • Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree (MBA or MS Management)
  • PMP Certification
  • High level of organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with customers and at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interact with multi-disciplined professionals to understand and make necessary tradeoffs and decisions
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen/judgment; ability to make trades and provide specific recommendations to senior management, partners, and the customer's business leaders.
