Schedule: 4/10 Work Schedule (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT



  • Safely operate crane, workboat, and other equipment (forklift, skid steers, bobcat, etc.).
  • Maintain fleet, equipment, and workboat vessel inspection logs.
  • Safely operate work boat and apply USCG Rules of the Road navigation.
  • Determine load weights and check against lifting capacities of crane/equipment to prevent overload.
  • Inspect all equipment, crane mechanisms and lifting accessories before use to prevent malfunctions and damage.
  • Communicate with Team Members through use of radio and hand signals.
  • Serves as safety leader for worksite and coaches Team Members on best practices.
  • Lead Team Members in the repair of barges.


What we are looking for...

You will need to have:



  • 4 years' experience in barge repair
  • 3 years' experience in crane operation
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane safety/operations.
  • Ability to obtain FCC Restricted Radio License.
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work additional hours/weekends to meet deadlines.


Credentials:



  • Must be 18 years or older and able to complete a Health Questionnaire and pass a physical abilities test.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Shipyard Competent Person Training Certificate (required)


Availability:



  • Ability to work a 4/10 Work Schedule (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Must be available for On-Call support.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED. (preferred)
  • Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and dedication.
