Position Description

The Sales and Franchise Controller acts as a business partner to the North America Sales and Franchise management teams to help driving efficiency and effectiveness.

The Controller helps to further improve the system landscape in order to increase financial transparency as basis for decision making.

You will be responsible for the following areas:

North America revenue forecasting

- This duty involves providing sales management information on current performance, as well as tools for evaluating revenue impact of sales pipeline, to enable accurate forecasting of revenues and instrument placements for QIAGENs key platforms.

North America revenue reporting

- Supply revenue performance data and analysis to the Business Area Committee and other management stakeholders.

Sales team performance and commissioning support

- Manage commission calculations for the NA sales team, task that requires specialized knowledge about the regions portfolio and incentive structure.

R&D project financial modelling and analysis

- Tracking of franchise R&D resources; evaluation of profitability for R&D business cases and monitoring of business case achievement levels for existing projects.

Cost monitoring and forecasting for sales region and franchise

- Monitor key trends in spending and make predictions based on said trends and known effects. Franchise monitoring and forecasting with focus on R&D and global Marketing activities. Sales with focus on Sales HC and associated expenses.

Annual resource planning for sales region and franchise

- Actively support and steer revenue and resource planning for the NA sales region and the franchise. Support regional decision making on budget numbers and foster alignment between region and franchise. Planning scope includes the next fiscal year and the midterm 3-year horizon.


Position Requirements

- University degree in economics, accounting or business administration

- Proven knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet software - SAP (preferred) + MS Office

- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking is required as well as pro-active thinking

- Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbally is required.

- 5-10% travel requirement
