We are seeking experienced surgical technologists to join our Central Staffing Float Pool/Operating Room (OR)/Surgery at Coastal Healthcare Alliance, comprised of Pen Bay HospitalCenter in Rockport and WaldoHospital in Belfast.

The Central Staffing Float Pool offers a unique opportunity for experienced Surgical Technologist to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set. Surgical Technologist are given the opportunity to work at Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital in the Operating Room/Surgery.A surgical technologist working in the Central Staffing Float Pool must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, with remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise. Having the ability to transition between facilities is a must when working in this role with Central Staffing

Summary:

The Surgical Technologist - Float T4 role assists the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures. This role will float between Pen Bay and Waldo with call shift rotation required.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required. 2. License/Certifications: Current certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: Three years of scrubbing in a variety of surgical cases including total joint replacement, c-section, ophthalmology and endoscopy required. Experience working at smaller, multi-specialty hospital setting preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
