Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage vendors performing maintenance in critical facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, and technical accuracy.
  • Gains familiarity with Critical Facilities Engineering concepts, practices and methodologies.
  • With guidance, performs standard facilities Engineering duties, including:
    • Creating engineering packages that include design, scope of work and estimates of materials and labor requirements,
    • Testing and validating technology performance and functionality,
    • Evaluating and selecting equipment to ensure reliability and allow for scaled expansion,
    • Analyzing costs to optimize return on investment,
    • Installing, integrating and evaluating new services, systems and applications,
    • Working with vendors to ensure proper equipment installation and configuration,
    • Performing quality assurance (QA) of contractor activities,
    • Documenting and logging parameters relating to space capacity, power usage, HVAC, building management and support systems,
    • Evaluating equipment / system performance.
  • Learns and applies industry and company Facilities Engineering standards, policies and guidelines
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Assists in regulatory compliance inspections and preventative maintenance on critical equipment and properties.
  • Evaluates and trends the performance of generators, battery backup systems, power plants, HVAC, life/safety, and building management systems.
  • Proactively recommends process improvements to management.
  • Report progress and risks on site projects and other initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Provide off-hours support for maintenance and system complications as required.
  • Support data center after-hours on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage and continuous data center uptime.


Qualifications

Minimum

  • A bachelor's degree in technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years in critical environment operations (data centers, nuclear power, hospitals, etc.) **OR** 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • Requires strong knowledge of Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems in critical environments.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating vendor activities to achieve project milestones.

USD 72,200.00 - 108,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:
