Behavioral Health Technician

Location: Buckley Space Force Base, CO
Position Type: Full-Time

Join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients. This position involves direct patient care, assessment, and coordination of behavioral health services.

Education:
• Certificate (Level 2) or Associate's degree from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician post-graduation.
  • Experience in the U.S. military or civilian psychiatric technician training program.
• Certification:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong team collaboration skills with professionalism and positive attitude.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
• Conduct initial assessments including psychological testing, interviews, and mental status examinations.
• Provide patient education on mental health topics.
• Monitor, record, and report patient progress.
• Conduct or assist in group and individual counseling sessions.
• Implement precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide.
• Record vital signs and maintain patient records.
• Coordinate care with other agencies and facilitate patient referrals to appropriate services.

• Ensure compliance with Army, DHA, and Combatant Command policies on deployment assessments.
