Job Summary

Electronics Technician on the Automation Quality team will be responsible to load programs and parameters on products, test products and enter test data, perform basic diagnostics, and perform product verification on incoming materials.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Test incoming products and enter data, load established programs and parameters
  • Incoming quality inspection of all production from subcontractors and fixing of some non-confirming consigned items. Examples: plastic covers, extrusions, plates, etc.
  • Failure Analysis - Troubleshooting rejected units and determine why they failed
  • Soldering and component rework (thru-hole components/surface mount). Post soldering and cleaning (mechanical means such as spraying, brushing and other methods of application may be used in conjunctionwith cleaning solution.)
  • Unbox products, sort, and stock products in warehouse
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns

Requirements:
* Experience - 2+ years of experience in electronics industry is preferred
* Effectively use basic test instruments, e.g. digital volt meter, oscilloscope etc
* Skill with basic electro-mechanical hand tools
* Capable to build and test prototype instrumentation
* Record data and test results
* Minimum- intermediate soldering skill level. Willing to train right candidate with minimal experience .
* Education - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Some tech school preferred.
* Computer skills - Must be able to enter test data, load established programs and parameters
* Prior experience required with IPC (or similar quality system) certification.
* Excellent organizational skills
* Able to stand/sit for long periods of time
* Ability to lift at least 50lbs
