Position Summary

As a Social Media Specialist at Bass Pro Shops, you'll have the chance to blend your social media expertise with your passion for the outdoors, creating captivating content that resonates with our online community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting engaging social media posts, articles, and videos that showcase the latest outdoor trends and company goals.
  • Collaborating with our in-house experts to deliver authentic, entertaining, and informative content that resonates with our audience.
  • Managing our social media platforms, interacting with followers, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and identifying opportunities to enhance our online presence.
  • Creating comprehensive social media campaigns to promote brand awareness.
  • Coordinating social marketing efforts with other marketing and media teams.
  • Executing content strategies on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin, Pinterest, Tik Tok and other developing social media platforms.
  • Performs all other related duties and tasks assigned by the social media manager.

Experience/Qualifications

Preferred degree in Marketing, Videography, or related fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Social Media Platforms - A solid understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and their features.
  • Trends and Algorithms - Stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to optimize content reach and engagement.
  • Analytics and Insights - Proficiency in using analytics tools to track and interpret social media metrics, measuring the success of campaigns and strategies.
  • Content Creation - Ability to create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and written copy.
  • Copywriting - Strong writing skills to craft engaging and effective captions, posts, and articles that align with brand voice.
  • Community Management - Skill in engaging with the audience, responding to comments, and managing online conversations in a positive manner.
  • Campaign Management - Experience in planning, executing, and analyzing social media campaigns to achieve specific goals.
  • Creativity - Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas to capture audience attention.
  • Adaptability - Flexibility to adapt to changes in social media.
  • Communication - Strong communication skills to effectively convey messages and maintain a consistent brand image.
  • Time Management - Efficiently manages time to handle multiple tasks, schedule posts, and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical Thinking - Critical thinking skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions for social media strategy improvements.

Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
