Hickory Trail Hospital, a 86-bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas (Desoto, TX), has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988. Hickory Trail Hospital provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs. For more information about Hickory Trail Hospital, please visit our website at https://www.hickorytrail.com/ Under the direction of the Director of Admissions Department, the Intake, Supervisor of Intake assures smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital. Interim Intake Supervisor is accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately. This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, nursing or a related field; Master's preferred. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years direct clinical experience, preferable in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Must have strong management skills with ability to effectively communicate with staff, ensuring proper employee performance management. Licensure: R.N., L.C.S.W., L.M.S.W., LPC or applicable license. Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Trained in de-escalation procedures, CPI and CPR certification.
