Job Summary:

Promotes external sale of construction material products; establishes and maintains customer relationships, and promotes the Company as a supplier of choice within established and emerging markets.

Main Responsibilities:

* Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
* Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
* Engage professionally with customers and other entities including but not limited to private contractors, representatives of local and state government, and engineering firms in-person, virtually, and over the phone to develop and maintain relationships, and establish sales contracts with new and existing accounts
* Work closely with production operations to ensure existing customer needs are met while establishing new customer relationships
* Track and analyze business trends and make recommendations for growth of customer base
* Track and maintain customer information, sales data and other information in internal systems
* Present market and sales data to management and operations teams
* Coordinate with Sales Manager, internal sales staff, and operations/production staff to schedule customer deliveries
* Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure product meets customer specifications
* Identify and assist with resolution of client concerns at the point of material delivery
* Performs other projects and duties as assigned

Education:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred
* Valid Driver's License and clean driving history required

Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience working in an account management, sales, or related role
  • Prior experience working in construction, mining, manufacturing, or related industry preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and represent the Company in a professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), CRM software, databases, etc.
  • Business/financial acumen and understanding of basic accounting concepts, and product pricing methods
Physical Requirements:

* Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
* Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects
* Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
* Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Occasionally required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computer
* Regular exposure working near to heavy equipment and machinery, exposure to loud noise
* Regular exposure to typical construction and manufacturing site conditions, including dust, chemicals, and all weather conditions
* May be required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
* Regional travel required with some overnight stays away from home
